Being a young kid on a block is not easy. Especially when you have a world tour, brand deals, and a huge responsibility of being a K-Pop Idol. Today, we’ll be looking at some of the youngest idols in K-pop history. These Idols were performing on big bad stages at the young age of 14 and have been successful in their K-Pop journey since day 1. So without future ado, let’s get started.

Youngest K-Pop Idols in K-Pop History

Minzy (2NE1)

Minzy from 2NE1 had one of the best debuts in the history of KPop. Minzy was only 15 at the time of the debut and the group totally smashed the numbers with their hit single “Fire”.

Taemin (SHINee)

SHINee’s Taemin is undoubtedly one of the youngest male idols to debut in K-pop history. At the time of his debut, Taemin was only a 14-year-old boy.

Ni-ki (ENHYPEN)

Ni-ki debuted with the group ENHYPEN at the age of 15. ENHYPEN was formed through a 2020 survival competition show I-Land and had seven male members. The group debuted in 2020 with their hit song “Given-Taken”.

Seungri (BIGBANG)

There is no denying that BIGBANG started the trend of Kpop fashion and style. But there is no denying that BIGBANG members were kids too. Seungri started his journey at the age of 15 and now we all know how successful he is in the world of K-pop.

Junghwan (TREASURE)

Junghwan from TREASURE is another idol who debuted at the age of 15. Junghwan was born on February 18, 2005, and debuted with the group formed through YG Entertainment’s YG Treasure Box program in 2019.

Suhyun and Chanhyuk (Akdong Musician)

Akdong Musician consists of siblings Suhyun and Chanhyuk, ages 13 and 16. The pair appeared on Season 2 of “K-Pop Star” and were picked up by YG Entertainment.

Sohyun (4Minute)

Sohyun was only 14-year-old at the time of her debut, making her one of the youngest maknae in the k-pop industry. Sohyun debuted with all-girl group 4Minute, consisting of five members.

Jungkook (BTS)

BTS’s Jungkook is another global Kpop Idol who debuted in the group at the age of 15. Today, BTS stands as the most popular and successful Kpop group in history.

Jeong-woo (TREASURE)

After Junghwan, Jeong-woo is another idol from the group TREASURE who was born on September 28, 2004. Jeong-woo and Junghwan had a past history as friends and both of them became YG’s survival program, Treasure Box winners, and joined TREASURE as an Idol.

Krystal – f(x)

Krystal is another K-pop idol who debuted at the age of 14 in the all-girl group f(x). The group had four members including Victoria, Amber, Luna, and Krystal, and previously Sulli. The group is rumored to be disbanded in 2019.

Yuna (Itzy)

Yuna debuted in 2019 at the age of 16 in the all-girl group Itzy. The group is currently active and Yuna has been a pillar member since their song Dalla Dalla.

Kwon Bo-ah (BoA)

Kwon Bo-ah or popularly known by her stage name BoA is a solo artist from South Korea. BoA debuted in the K-pop industry at 13 with her album ID; Peace B and her Japanese debut on May 30, 2001, with the single “ID; Peace B”.

Suzy (Miss A)

Suzy is another K-pop idol who joined the K-pop industry as a teen. At the time of her debut, Suzy was only 15-year-old, but she still managed to keep up with the rest of the members with sweet charms and skills.

Zelo (B.A.P)

BAP’s Zelo has one of the most interesting journeys in K-pop. Zelo joined the all-boys-band B.A.P just weeks before turning 15, making him the youngest among K-pop maknae’s in the K-pop world.

Seohyun (Girls’ Generation)

Girls’ Generation was probably the first K-pop group for a lot of K-pop fans. In fact, it was the first group that got me interested in K-pop. At the time of her debut, Seohyun was only 16 years old, yet she still managed to wow people with her vocals and looks.
